Quiet Minds

When my sisters and I get together, we make a lot of noise! And by a lot of noise, I do mean a lot of noise. It has always been that way, as we are a family that believes in talking and laughing. Our puns are lowdown, and our 'jokelies' (a word coined by my uncle!) incomprehensible to all, but the immediate family.

And here I am, writing a post on the virtues of being quiet. Why so? Probably because it is nice to see how the other half lives! Probably because the letter 'Q' is rather a loner itself, with not too many options around it.

Much has to be said about quiet minds. One of the quietest of them all passed away a few days ago, a man of singular brilliance who left behind him a legacy of facts that changed the world. He rose above his physical condition and let his intellect soar. His name was Stephen Hawking.

Hawking has been immortalized in 'The Theory of Everything', a movie that came out in 2014 and starred Eddie Redmayne in an iconic role which won him many awards.

Benedict Cumberbatch also played Hawking in the BBC television film 'Hawking' which came out in 2004.
